Be 'as good as spring itself'

There's something about spring. Longer days, tender buds and sunshine warming fresh air tend to lift spirits in many locales. Even when days turn dark and unpredictable, raindrops beading on bright petals and creeks gushing along familiar trails can put a bounce in your step and a lilt in your voice.

As Ernest Hemingway wrote in A Moveable Feast, “When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.”

Thinking about that quote, it occurred to me that merchant services providers could benefit by endeavoring to be "as good as spring itself." But I think it essentially boils down to embodying qualities like renewal, growth, positivity and rejuvenation in our professional interactions.

Here are some ideas on how we can go about that.

Speaking of well-being, underlying all of your efforts must be self-care. Eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and spend time with people you truly enjoy, doing things you also enjoy so you will be constantly renewed and most able to be "as good as spring itself." End of Story
