Next gen travel card revealed
When business travelers and vacationers use open-loop, network-branded prepaid travel cards, the cards are usually denominated in one currency. But a partnership between loyalty platform provider Touchdown Prepaid and global prepaid card company Rev Worldwide launched what they call Europe's first multiple currency travel card.
The CashCase Visa Prepaid Card allows users to move money between British pounds, euros and U.S. dollars, as if cardholders were using local currencies. The chip and PIN-enabled card permits travelers to lock in favorable exchange rates before they embark on journeys, as well as send and receive funds and check balances on mobile phones.
"CashCase is the next generation of prepaid cards," said Gavan Stewart, Chief Executive Officer at Touchdown Prepaid's CashCase. "It is unique as it enables customers to transact in euros and U.S. dollars and then upon returning home convert back to British pounds, as well as offering cardholders exclusive discounts at High Street retailers."
