The Green Sheet operational during state of emergency
At a packed Oct. 10, 2017, community meeting in Santa Rosa, Calif., after devastating and deadly fires ravaged several communities in Sonoma and neighboring counties, Sonoma County Sheriff Rob Giordano said, “This is nowhere near over. This is still very dangerous.” This is the situation in which The Green Sheet Inc. is doing business right now. We are located in Rohnert Park, which is immediately south of Santa Rosa.
In the wee hours Monday morning, Oct. 9, residents in several Santa Rosa and a few Rohnert Park neighborhoods were awakened to the sound of fists banging on their doors and voices shouting for them to evacuate. Some had mere minutes to gather their loved ones and rush out with only what they were wearing. Others had time to pack up a few things before driving away, not knowing whether they would have homes to return to.
Luckily thus far, all members of The Green Sheet staff are safe, our homes are intact, and The Green Sheet is operational. We are, however, experiencing some power outages and other effects of the ongoing firestorms, so our operations are limited while we deal with the many repercussions of this tragedy.
Thank you to those who have expressed concern for our welfare. We appreciate your patience during this ongoing disaster.
