The life of NBPCA attorney Terry Maher honored
The law firm of Baird Holm LLP announced that one of the firm's partners, Terrence Patrick Maher, passed away on Aug. 12, 2014. "Terry was a local and national expert in the areas of electronic financial services, most notably with regard to the payment card industry," the law firm said. Mr. Maher served as General Counsel for the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association.
"Terry was an intelligent and witty man who lit up every room he entered; he always had an interesting story to tell about his constant travels," Baird Holm added. "He was an incredible teacher to the younger associates who looked to him for guidance, and a valued partner who will be greatly missed. His family is in the thoughts and prayers of all who worked with him."
Mr. Maher is survived by his son Dr. Steven Patrick Maher, daughter-in-law Julia Rose-Marie Maher, daughter 1st Lieutenant Caroline Ann Maher (United States Army), son Joseph Michael Maher, and wife of 31 years Mary Katherine Maher.
Mr. Maher was deeply involved in Operation Others, a food assistance program run by students at a Catholic preparatory school in Omaha,Neb. Donations in honor of Mr. Maher can be sent to:
