The Green Sheet continues winning tradition
For the thirteenth consecutive year, The Green Sheet magazine was honored by Communications Concepts Inc. This year the publication received two APEX 2014 Awards for Publication Excellence, both in the Magazine, Journal & Tabloid Writing category. Of the nearly 2,100 entries submitted, 832 received awards of excellence making this year's competition "exceptionally intense," according to Communications Concepts.
Dan Watkins, Associate Editor at The Green Sheet won an award for breaking news concerning the proposed settlement of a class-action lawsuit brought by retailers against Visa Inc. and MasterCard Worldwide titled, "The $7.25 billion settlement proposal: What you need to know," published April 22, 2013.
Kate Gillespie, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at The Green Sheet, received an APEX Award for an article she penned paying tribute to former Green Sheet Staff Writer Jim McCaffrey titled, "GSRemembers," published Aug. 26, 2013.
To date the publication has earned a total of 50 APEX awards, five of them Grand Awards, which have been garnered collectively by The Green Sheet print product, GS Online and GSQ.
